Multi-Method Training & Relevant Research
My published and award-winning research spans quantitative, cross-national analyses to articles drawing from rich, qualitative, in-depth interviews with women and medical providers. The common thread of this research is reproductive health and illness, within and outside the contexts of disasters and the environment.
My research has been published in academic journals such as Contraception, Population and Environment, Culture, Health & Sexuality, Health, Social Indicators Research, International Sociology, Sociology Compass, and Sociological Viewpoints.
My co-authored book, "Body Art (Arts for Health)," will be released in September 2023 by Emerald Publishing.
I have presented my research at national and international conferences, including annual meetings for the American Sociological Association, Eastern Sociological Society, International Sociological Association, and The Northern European Conference on Emergency & Disaster Studies.
